Within the framework of the implementation of the activities of the Young Africa Works (YAW) programme, initiated by MasterCard Foundation, the technical assistance of CIDS Burkina was requested for the collection and analysis of the needs of the stakeholders. The YAW programme aims to provide easy access to dignified and fulfilling employment for young people aged 18 to 35. The vision of the MasterCard Foundation is to ensure that by 2030, young people and women in Burkina Faso/Benin and the UEMOA region have equal and fair access to dignified and fulfilling work, thanks to a modern, sustainable, competitive, industrialised and integrated agricultural sector.
